Winter in Launceston

Winter in Tasmania is a tricky time to go hiking, so I like to embrace other ways to decompress during the colder months. With temperamental, cosy kind of weather, city breaks are a perfect way to spend a few days! Wahroonga on Bourke welcomed me back for a winter staycation in Launceston… a special place to stay, and even more beautiful than I remember it to be.

It was a stormy weekend and we spent some time wandering around the city, sheltering from the rain in the museum and cafe hopping in between sun spells. We also snuck a walk in along the Tamar Island Wetlands Track, a divine wonderland of birdlife.
