Sheoakes Beach House
As the summer heat began to wane, a rare interlude during a busy life spell led us to a weekend away at Sheoakes. This beautifully bespoke beach house is a dreamy coastal haven, full of so many delights that I found myself unwilling to stray far. The ocean views from beyond the back fence eventually succeeded, luring us into short walks down to the beach with the dogs.
Leaning into slowing down, the days were spent reading in the hammock, sitting by the outdoor fire pit, and cooking in the lavish, airy kitchen to a soundtrack of Melody’s Echo Chamber. I was reminded again of how incredible the night sky is out here on the east coast without the interruption of city lights.
